 | Jeff and Patrick conducted themselves in a very professional manner. Jeff kept us updated on th eproject`s process by e-mail, always letting us know when we could expect them to be back at work. They were very knowledgeable, explaining the system patiently until we understood everything. The purchase incentives were a state rebate and federal tax credit. The contractor deducted the state rebate off the price of the job, but we will apply the federal credit on our tax forms. | The sales representative (and self-proclaimed head of the division) flat-out lied about the functionality of the system, and over-promised the benefits. Communication was difficult, and I would warn anyone to do your research before trusting this company. They will tell you whatever it takes to sell you the system, and then disappear when you try to follow up. Our requests to resolve our situation merely resulted in a nasty, threatening response, and no action taken. Now we`re out tens of thousands of dollars on a system that is doing less than half of what was promised. We are glad to have solar power, but wish we`d gone with another (honest) installer. JEFF SCHULD AND EMPLOYEES WERE PROFESSIONAL, POLITE AND CARED THAT THE WORK WAS BEING DONE TO OUR EXPECTATIONS. WE INTERVIEWED 4 COMPANIES--2 HAD SLIGHTLY BETTER PRICES. WE CHOSE JEFF BECAUSE HE WAS THE MOST PROFESSIONAL. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED.
I DO WISH THE WEBSITE FOR MY ACCOUNT TO MONITOR PERFORMANCE WAS MORE DYNAMIC VS. STATIC. IT DOES NOT GIVE LIVE/UP-TO-TIME INFO.

| My contractor Gone Green was very professional and very helpful. I would recommend them to anybody. The installation required a very minor modification of a missing hold down clamp. | The industry suffers from the local utility rebate program. LIPA NY has been dragging their paperwork (all done correctly by us and the contractor) for 7 months and we are still are awaiting our rebate. This has no bearing on the installer/installation but gives a terrible "aftertaste" to the entire process and is probably the reason the installer was not interested in a reassignment of the rebate as it will take in excess of 6 months to get the LIPA NY rebate. We hope to get the rebate next month a whole 7.5 months after our application was filled out correctly and 6 months after a "problem-free" installation. Be aware that the LIPA NY rebate program takes at least 6 months despite accurate paper-work completion. I would think twice about any future rebate program (with LIPA or NY State) especially if you may need the money during the at least 6 month "paper processing" time frame. I would love to hear why it takes 4-6 weeks for the accounting department in Syracuse, NY to "cut a check" ? Also do not expect anyone in any athority or management capacity to ever return a call regarding your concerns.
