 | I applied for $ 20,000 in rebates. If FPS was late, or didn`t follow the guidelines, my rebate might not have been awarded. I was very worried about getting the system done within the time limit and with all the rules followed perfectly. FPS helped me with the rebate paperwork. Every inspection was flawless and I got my rebate in a very short time. It was clear that FPS knew exactly what they were doing. I have ZERO complaints. Nothing went wrong and the system was on time, and actually performs better than I expected. That is, they were conservative with their estimates of the system`s generation ability. Very happy. FPS took the mystery out of this process. It was explained clearly, and everything that was explained happened ON TIME. | I am very picky and inquisitive, the contractor always took his time explaining the work and how each component operated. I couldn`t be happier with both the system and the contractor/crew. The contractor filled in all the paperwork that I had to submit to the power company, all I had to do is review and sign. I can confidently say that I wouldn`t hesitate to do business with this contractor in the future Although the contractor couldn`t directly manage the net meter installation and inspections. As well as rebate application. He always provided me with nearly completed forms that I just had to sign, date, and submit. The contractor did everything he could to make this as easy as possible. | The employees were VERY knowledgable, extremely considerate and helpful. They were (are) very personable! I love getting my electric bill - if that is even imaginable! The system is saving me over half of my previous usage. And - solar is the right thing to do for our country! We wouldn`t have to worry about oil drilling if more solar was used. I was very startled that the rebate ($ 30,000) appears to not be coming. I am glad I am financially able to survive the shock! This is the only negative. | The price issue was due to the city of Venice stiffing us with a 750 permit fee. Solar uses a standard of $ 150 in its estimates but should be more aware of local fees. I was out of town and did not receive any instruction on operation/maintenance. The system was a week late due to supplier delays for some of the panels and the inverter. | Scheduling was an issue, but they compensated me for the lengthy delay. I was so satisfied with the work and everything else that I am happy to recommend Solar Direct. High quality design, installation, and follow-up and it is easy to find someone to talk to and answer questions. I asked alot they answered them all so that I could understand. They were extremely helpful with the city permits and applying for rebates. Excellent company. I am still waiting for the rebate from the state of Florida. I missed out on 08 money(FL had a limit on funding for the year but I was able to apply for the next year) and so I am waiting for action from the state on my application through 09 funding. This was a big disappointment for me financially.
